Ha, I knew I would always struggle with progress and Pandemic made it a little bit more so but don’t worry I still have ideas and want to gather more stats and information.
Lockdown has given all of us isolation fever and I bet you all can’t wait to get out, to somewhere different, even if we can’t go abroad freely just yet. Or may wish too with possible added hassle like vaccine passports and so on.
So, what is the Great Dorset Foodie Bingo Tour? Well, I’d rather spend my money and time more locally for the time being so I will try and book several mini-breaks this year, in Dorset where I can tick as many of the boxes below, and at the same time get to interview or do a little survey with the foodie businesses.
- Quirky place to stay: like a hut, yurt, barn…
- Eaterie to visit: a restaurant or cafe
- Food place: like farm, cheesemaker, food producer
- Drinks place: distillery, vineyard
- Shopping: little village shops, market
- Cultural place: something with history
- Something picturesque: good for the Instagram
- A short little walk: that’s all I like, nothing that’s going to take hours
- Is there a story about a local person?
Hopefully I can then write a Blog about it and do a little Video piece to share the great things that we do have on our doorstep.
If you have any ideas of a place and surrounds that could fit that model, then please let me know.
